The general con census of critics and some moviegoers was that this movie could have been so much more, I agree in parts , but Apocalypto had already been made and you can't top that.. This movie took a story that's been done before in various movies and used some decent computer -g enerated effects and made it in English to try and get the audience who missed a film like Apocalypto to sit down and watch a film of this time period. Since I wasn't expecting total greatness from this movie, I actually found myself enjoying it and would slightly recommend it for those who want to see a decent action movie. 2 ½ paws

10,000 B.C. reminds me of a combination of Apocalypto and Braveheart but not nearly as awesome as either! The story is interesting but it's not a movie you'll remember for a long period of time. The scenery and the graphics are amazing; I still don't know how they can create a mammoth and make it move like that but it is really neat to see. One thing that really bugged me was the guy narrating the story; he was just really annoying and I did not enjoy his voice . I guess they couldn't afford to get Morgan Freeman but his voice would have been so much better. Also, I really liked the fact that in Apocalypto, even though you had to read the subtitles, it was more accurate because I don't think that they spoke English 10,000 years before Christ was born…unless my history teachers got it wrong!!! 2 ½ paws
