Genesis 1:26-28 – “26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” KJV

We’ve been created in the image and likeness of almighty God, and have been given authority over the fish of the sea, birds, beasts and every creeping thing on the earth! Slap them mosquitos and don’t feel guilty one bit!

Romans 8:29-30 – “29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

He knew us before He formed us. My friend spoke of someone who feels it’s hopeless to pray because God knows what we’re going to do anyway. God gave us our free choice so we could plant the seed of prayer, and reap the harvest, as Jesus taught us. So we can seek God and find Him. Ask God for healing, in Jesus’ name. He just may surprise you!

James 4:2 – “Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.” KJV

Jesus said Matthew 7:7 -“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” KJV

2 Corinthians 5:16-21 – “16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” NIV

When we're remorseful for our sins, and change our lives (which is repenting) and begin reading God’s Word and doing our level best to obey God’s commands, especially the two commands Jesus gave us, I think that is abiding in Jesus, and by reading Matthew, Mark, Luke & John, that is fulfilling the following scripture.

Jesus said John 15:7 – “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!”

I take this literally, and I believe every word, and when I ask, I know in my heart He meant it, and God does answer prayers, I’m telling you, ask that you may receive. The key is in changing our lives, because He knows our hearts.

Psalm 8:4-8 – “4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?

5 Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.

6 You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—

7 the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals,

8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents.”

Luke 9:1 – “1One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases.”

John 17:20 – “20I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. 21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.”
