Blanco County Fair and Rodeo Days Nearing
Wednesday, August 6, 2008 • Posted August 5, 2008

Well, ladies it is Fair and Rodeo time again, and that can only mean one thing—Queen’s contest! It’s a big commitment and can be a difficult choice to make, but I can honestly say that you will not regret it.

The past year as queen has been the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my life. It is such an honorable opportunity being able to represent Blanco County. In this past year, I have met some very interesting people and have seen the traditions of other counties.

I was blessed with an amazing court that was truly helpful and supportive through it all. The four of us endured a lot through the year, and I must say that I would not change a thing. Haley, Sarah, and Megan are three beautiful and brilliant ladies and I am grateful for all their patience and kindness. I also want to thank my family for all their love and understanding. Without their help, the year wouldn’t have been a success. My final thanks goes out to the Fair Association and the people that made this all possible. Thank you Tammy, Amber, Myron, and all the dedicated drivers that drove the float.

My year as Blanco County Queen is coming to an end and that means that a new queen will soon be crowned. I wish all the contestants the best of luck and I hope they enjoy it as much as I did.

For all the girls that are interested, registration will be held Sunday, August 10th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the PEC Auditorium. Good luck again and I hope to see you all there.
