Louise Elizabeth Bindseil went to be with her Lord August 2, 2008 at the age of 87. She was born to Udo and Apalonia (Kneupper) Reinhard December 5, 1920 in Kendalia. She farmed and ranched with her husband, Reinhold, on their ranch in the Crabapple Community for 67 years where they raised turkeys, hogs, goats, sheep and cows.

Louise was a wonderful cook, baking homemade bread and donuts, catering to the trail riders when they came through Kendalia and she was very active in her community and her church until she became ill. She fought her cancer for over two years. She loved her home, her family and her community. She cooked and was a director at the Blanco Bowling Alley, cooked and ran the kitchen at the Blanco Auction Barn, and loved to bowl with her teams at Blanco and Spring Branch. She was a member of the extension club for over 60 years, always volunteered to help with the Kendalia VFD and Community Club.

She is survived by her son, Frankie and his wife, Joan Bindseil of Kendalia; two brothers, Christian Reinhard of Uvalde and Arthur Reinhard of Hamilton; a sister, Adelia Mackel of Boerne; sister-in-law, Viola Haster of New Braunfels and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Max Reinhard.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Crofts Funeral Home, Blanco. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blanco with Dr Bobby Leggett officiating. Burial will follow in the Bindseil Cemetery on the Bindseil Ranch.

A special thanks goes to Dr Friedman and the nurses at the San Antonio Cancer Center, Vista Care Hospice of San Marcos, Flor and Max Reinhard for their help in the last two months and the neighbors. Louise was loved by all and her twinkling blue eyes and beautiful smile will be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Vista Care Hospice, Kendalia VFD or Kendalia Community Club.
