When Will We All Come Together As One Church?
Wednesday, August 6, 2008 • Posted August 5, 2008

I believe I have read a scripture that implies that Jesus will not return for His Church, otherwise known as the Rapture, until we have all come together as one Church, Jesus being the Head of the Church. This is a test. Have you read it? If so, where is it?! Maybe by next week I’ll have it to share with everyone!

Matthew 28:19 – “19Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, …” (AMP)

The above scripture, in the Amplified and American Standard versions, were written as “baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, …”, implying to me that we are baptized into the family of God. The King James and New International versions were written “baptizing in” instead of “INTO”.

I could be wrong, but I believe we are baptized INTO the family of God, and we are then grafted onto the True Vine, which is Jesus, according to John 15:5-8 – “5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” NLT

If I understand this correctly, we are actually baptized INTO the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, (not the Baptist church, or the Methodist church, etc.), but the Church of Christ Jesus, with Jesus being the Head of the Church, the Cornerstone, and all of us Christians, Jews and Gentiles, Blacks and Whites, males and females, are high priests and ambassadors for Christ Jesus, IF we’ve been reborn by believing that Jesus is the Son of God, who lived, died and arose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God, who will judge all of us saints, and whom we’ll get to reign with in heaven (as One Church)!

Acts 20:28 – “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” KJV

Jesus said in Matthew 21:42 – “Then Jesus asked them, “Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures? ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful to see.’”

Acts 4:11 – “For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’”

1 Peter 2:9 – “But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, [Greek a royal priesthood.] a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”

Colossians 1:18 – “18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”

2 Corinthians 5:20 – “20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” KJV

Revelation 22:12-14 - 12“Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit.

13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (the Before all and the End of all).

14 Blessed (happy and to be envied) are those who cleanse their garments, that they may have the authority and right to [approach] the tree of life and to enter through the gates into the city.” AMP
