AUSTIN—U.S. Sen. John Cornyn’s, R-Texas, Central Texas Deputy Regional Director, Katharine Priddy, will be in Blanco County on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, to meet with constituents, address any federal concerns they may have, and assist with various other services.

“As a U.S. Senator, I work hard to make sure Texas values are well represented in Washington,” Sen. Cornyn said. “It is important that Texans make their voices heard, and one of the best ways to do that is through my local staff. In addition, we do everything possible to offer assistance by cutting through bureaucratic red tape on the federal level. I continue doing all I can to make sure the needs of Texans are addressed.”

Sen. Cornyn has seven regional offices throughout the state to assist Texans: Austin, Dallas, Harlingen, Houston, Lubbock, San Antonio and Tyler.

Sen. Cornyn serves on the Armed Services, Judiciary and Budget Committees. In addition, he is Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference and the Senate Select Committee on Ethics. He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee’s Immigration, Border Security and Refugees subcommittee and the Armed Services Committee’s Airland subcommittee. He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.
