Dear Sheri Stockman,

It was a pleasure to read your response. It would be an understatement to say that your response exudes passion. I feel that it is important for readers to know just how much heart and serious research should be involved in making decisions regarding your family. What ever your decison may be; make it your own. Stay true to your own family values. It is o.k to listen to the opinions of others regarding their research, but ultimately it is your opinion that counts when it comes to the best choice for your children and family.

Thank you to Ms. Sherri Stockman for sharing your very passionate opinion and to Ms. Vaccinate/Not Vaccinate, I hope you choose passionately and informatively.

Dear Weiss,

Even though I know I am asking for advice anonymously I am still very nervous. For several weeks now I have been reading the updates about the awful abuse suffered by the little dog "Phoenix". People in my community (Blanco) have been candidly or not so candidly talking about the incedent. I have over heard many people make their assumptions about what happened and even more disturbing; who did it. Some have been so confident in their accusations, but still they refuse to give up their sources. I'm not sure what question to ask, because there are many. I am beginning to wonder if the safety of a small community is just a stereotype. Is the image that everything is safer in a small town because people would rather turn their back to crime rather than report it? Why is it that people in this community (Blanco) are more likely to share gossip regarding soemone's marital troubles but claim; in the tragedy of "Phoenix", that it is none of thier business? What are the requirements for making "news" your business?

Sincerely, Anonymously Disturbed

Dear Anonymously Disturbed,

I took some time to read previous articles about the recovery of "Phoenix". As a reader, the articles lead me to believe that justice is being served in regard to this disgusting crime. What concerns me is the untold story not being written about. I applaud your bravery and realize how ostracizing this kind of information can be if the truth be told.

Keeping any information regarding a crime is a crime in itself. From what I understand, there is even a $2000.00 reward for any information leading to this crime; $2000.00 is a lot of money, yet no one talks?

I have a question of my own to the community of Blanco... How is justiced being served? What kind of message are you as citizens of this community spelling out to those law-breaking criminals? Is this a case of protecting your own? If so, how does one learn consequences? How do you know these criminals will not strike again...in your home?

Again, I thank the writer, Anonymously Disturbed because I am sure it was difficult to come forward with the untold story. Your question, "When is "news" your business?" I would suggest to make news your business when the well-being of yourself, family and in this case community can be in danger.

For myself, I am thoroughly disgusted in knowing that there are people in Blanco with information regarding this atrocious, monsterous, evil crime!

Finally, to you, yes you know who you are...shame on you! I wonder how you sleep at night recalling the abuse you administered to a defenseless little puppy. What is next? Remorse, I hope.

~W. Weiss
