Wednesday, August 20, 2008 • Posted August 19, 2008

Manuel Telles is suffering from serious injuries after losing his step from atop his two-story home located off of west Highway 46. He is currently being taken care of at University Hospital in San Antonio.

At this time, his condition is not good. He is a diabetic and is now paralized from the waist down.

He is the nephew of Mario Chalico. The Chalico family is setting up a benefit dance for Mr. Telles with all proceeds to go towards his medical expenses. The only income they had was through his wife, who is currently not working because she has been and still is by his side. The Telles family have five children at home that are being taken care of by family members.

The Benefit Dance for Manuel will be held at Yett Park on Saturday, August 30th from 8p.m. to 1:00a.m. with music by La Movida Tropical, Movida DJ, and Los Pedernales. Admission is $10 per person and includes a meal and beverage. Admission for children fifteen and under are free. We hope to see you there!
