Trinity Lutheran Wraps Up VBS
Wednesday, August 20, 2008 • Posted August 19, 2008

Vacation Bible School at the Trinity Lutheran Church was A BLAST! Children from kindergarten through fifth grade stepped into The Power Lab every morning, each day learning a new and wonderful power they possess through Jesus.

From opening the day with song and dance, each of the twelve groups would make their way to one of the five stations to learn more about the bible verse and the power they received that day. In Chaddar theatre, kids would watch a movie starring the beloved chipmunk, Chaddar, and participate in various activities. In snack, kids got to fill their stomachs with creative food, while relating the power they received from Jesus that day to a story from the bible. In Bible Blast, children not only learned the Bible verse of the day, they lived it! Whether it was walking on water or having oatmeal smeared on their eyes to resemble the mixture of spit and dirt that Jesus used to heal a blind man, the kids were all too willing to participate. In hyperspeed games kids once again participated in hands on experiments related to the story of the day, while also participating in a high energy game that always ended in laughter and fun!

At the end of the day, all kids would re-gather in the sanctuary to end the morning in laughter, dance, and song! By the end of the week every vacation bible school student walked away knowing that Jesus gives them the power to be thankful, help others, be brave, live forever, and tell others about God!

Thank you to all the parents and helpers who made this VBS a fantastic one! We look forward to seeing all of you again next year!!!!
