Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, Criminal Cases

Convictions will not appear this week.

Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, Criminal Cases

• Eric Harold Throne, of Austin, was fined $166 for speeding on July 30 (DPS).

• Kenneth James Bellah, of Buchanan Dam, was fined $172 for speeding on July 11 (DPS).

• James Garland Orcutt, of New Braunfels, was fined $166 for speeding on July 19 (DPS).

• Angelyn Curran, of Canyon Lake, was fined $196 for speeding on July 11 (DPS).

• Cary Todd Lowery, of Dripping Springs, was fined $160 for speeding on July 20 (DPS).

• Laurie Denise Bailey, of Spring Branch, was fined $158 for running a stop sign on July 23 (Blanco Sheriff’s Office).

• Don Allen Rossow, of Fredericksburg, was fined $166 for speeding on July 11 (DPS).

Blanco Police Reports

These reports were filed between Aug 7 and Aug 13.

Aug 7

• Criminal Mischief. 7:15 AM. A caller made a report of damaged property.

• Motorist Assist. 5:36 PM. A vehicle had a blow-out on the US 281 bridge over the Blanco River.

Aug 9

• Information. 9:13 PM. A caller reported that a subject had not returned a car. Later, the caller had found the car; it was not stolen.

Aug 10

• Criminal Mischief. 3:07 AM. A caller made a report of damaged property.

• Criminal Mischief. 4:27 AM. A criminal mischief report was filed for property damage.

• Assault. 4:30 AM. A caller requested to meet with an officer to discuss an assault.

• Criminal Mischief. 9:09 AM. A criminal mischief report was filed for property damage on Greenlawn.

• Suspicious Person. 10:01 AM. A subject was sitting on the guardrail on the US 281 bridge over the Blanco River.

• Criminal Mischief. 10:34 AM. A criminal mischief report was filed for property damage on Greenlawn.

• Animal Welfare. 11:01 AM. A dog was reported in a vehicle at Sunset Restaurant. The vehicle’s windows were up. An officer found the owner and the dog was OK.

• Possible Intoxicated Driver. 5:53 PM. Officers were on the look out for a vehicle on RR 1623 that was possibly driven by an intoxicated subject. A Blanco PD officer spotted the vehicle on 7th St. One subject was arrested; a citation was issued for lack of driver’s license (with Texas DPS).

• Arrest on View. 8:24 PM. One subject arrested on US 281 and a DWI report was filed.

Aug 11

• Traffic Accident. 6:40 AM. A vehicle was seen against a tree on RR 165, across from The Settlement. The vehicle appeared to be unoccupied. An officer searched the area but did not find the vehicle.

Aug 12

• Animal Complaint. 3:54 PM. A black lab was at the caller’s residence.

Aug 13

• Prowler. 1:22 AM. A caller reported someone banging on the house’s windows. An officer patrolled the area and spotted juveniles running toward the middle school. The officers spoke with the juveniles.

• Reckless Driver. 5:36 PM. A vehicle was seen driving at a high rate of speed in Garden Oaks.

• 911 Hangup. 5:51 PM. Two subjects had an argument; one dropped the other off at Dollar General and left. The subject there used the officer’s phone to call someone to get picked up (with Blanco Co. SO).

• Juvenile Complaint. 7:10 PM. A runaway was reported.

Johnson City Police Reports

These reports were filed between Aug 7 and Aug 13.

Aug 7

• Alarm. 5:48 AM. Dollar General.

• Alarm. 9:22 AM. Accidental triggering.

Aug 9

• Found Property. 11:59 AM. A wallet was found at El Rancho and returned to the owner.

• Fight / Disturbance. 9:37 PM. A caller reported individuals fighting in the Exxon Travel Mart parking lot. The subjects were gone when officers arrived (with Blanco Co. SO).

Aug 13

• Welfare Concern. 6:28 PM. A complainant requested help to get to Fort Worth. An officer released the complainant to a family member.

• Traffic Hazard. 7:17 PM. Diesel fuel was spilled on the roadway near Dairy Queen.

Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Reports

These reports were filed between Aug 7 and Aug 13.

Aug 7

• Animal Complaint. 8:01 AM. A caller reported two dogs that had killed goats.

• Noise Complaint. 8:44 AM. An officer responded to a call about loud music and reported that the call was unfounded. The officer spoke with a subject about loud music and believed it should be taken care of.

• Traffic Accident. 3:11 PM. 473 West.

• Alarm. 3:27 PM. Residential.

• Reckless Driver. 5:31 PM. US 290 West from Gillespie County (with Johnson City PD).

• Suspicious Activity / Close Patrol. 6:18 PM. Johnson City.

• Comal Transfer / Disturbance. 10:05 PM. Comal County received three 911 calls from Pop-a-Top bar. Officers responded and reported that everything was OK (with Blanco PD).

Aug 8

• Suspicious Activity. 12:48 AM. A caller stated that people had set up a tent at the Blanco County Fairgrounds. 911 advised the caller, who was drunk, to refrain from contacting the subjects. An officer reported that everything was OK; the subjects were camping out due to the lack of lodging at the nearby motels.

• Motorist Assist. 1:43 AM. A motorist on US 290 East hit a deer and the vehicle’s fender was pushed up against the wheel. The responding officer reported that the fender was pulled away from the wheel.

Aug 9

• Traffic Hazard. 10:27 AM. Clothes and two mattresses were in the roadway on US 281, north of 962 West. TxDOT was notified and found the items outside Blanco County.

Aug 10

• Assault Case. 10:23 AM. An officer filed a report on an assault, taking statements from those involved and witnesses.

• Alarm. 2:21 PM. False alarm activation.

Aug 12

• Missing Juvenile. 5:04 PM. A caller stated that a juvenile ran off in Pedernales State Park. A park ranger located the juvenile.

• Welfare Check. 5:06 PM. A complainant wanted to report a missing person who had not been seen or heard from in over a week. An officer reported that the subject moved from the address earlier in the month.

• Controlled Fire Violation. 6:26 PM. A caller reported someone burning near RR 165. An officer advised that the subject would stop burning.

Aug 13

• Juvenile Complaint. 12:43 AM. An officer was requested to patrol an area of Blanco.

• Welfare Concern. 6:22 AM. A subject was seen walking westbound on RR 165, trying to wave down vehicles. The subject was gone when an officer arrived.

• Loose Livestock. 7:16 AM. A loose cow was lying by the road on RR 1623. The owner penned the animal.

• Alarm. 8:35 AM. Residential.

• Alarm. 11:20 AM. Residential.

• Possible Motorist Assist. 12:05 PM. People were seen standing around a trailer parked in the bar ditch off US 281 at the Blanco Cowboy Church. The people reportedly appeared to be in distress.

• Alarm. 4:58 PM. Accidental triggering.
