KENNETH JAMES TRIESCH

Kenneth James Triesch went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2008 at the age of 75. He was born in Blanco, TX on March 26, 1933 to the Late Eugene Oscar Triesch Sr. and Roena Amelia Artz Triesch.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yvonne Wagner Triesch, his daughters, Diane Sides and husband Robert of Dublin TX, Peggy Moore and husband Larry of Driftwood TX, Connie Cobb and husband David of Blessing TX, Bonnie Palmer and husband Richard of Blanco TX, and son Ricky Triesch and wife Vercille of Spring Branch TX. He was blessed with 14 Grandchildren, 4 Step Grandchildren, and 20 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by 6 brothers and 2 sisters: Dee Lee Triesch and wife Helen of Schertz TX, Imogene Triesch Wagner and husband Raymond of Bulverde TX, Joylyn Triesch Gunn and husband Carl Wayne of Hallettsville TX, Delbert Triesch and wife Pat of Minneapolis MN, Gene Triesch Jr. and wife Lavada of Blanco TX, Larry Triesch and wife Maryann of Austin TX, Calvin Triesch and wife Leslie of Montrose CO, Danny Triesch and wife Barbara of Blanco TX, also numerous nieces, nephews and greats. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Larry Allen Moore Jr.

Kenneth graduated from Blanco High School in 1950 and was a life long member of Blanco Trinity Lutheran Church. Kenneth worked in road construction building roads all over Texas. He was fondly known as “Dutchman” by road builders everywhere. When Kenneth retired, he opened “Dutchman & Dutchma’s Bar-B-Que. His BBQ won awards and was known and loved by all in the surrounding area. Kenneth’s love for construction called him back and he started a small company with his son working several projects around the area. Due to health issues, he finally had to quit the road work he loved so much.

Kenneth loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and dancing to good country music. Gospel Music and any and all of Hank Williams’ songs were his favorite. Kenneth loved his wife and was a wonderful Dad, loving Ope and Grandpa and God Father. He told everybody he had “million dollar kids”. His grandchildren “lit up his life” and the little greats were the “pearl of his heart”.

Kenneth wanted all of you to know he is not dead but lives in a glorious place in heaven and is paving that road for you to join him someday.

Kenneth’s visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28th at Croft’s Funeral Home in Blanco. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 29th at Blanco Trinity Lutheran Church. Pallbearers are Bryan Gunn, Ronnie Wagner, Steve Wagner, Cody Triesch, Jimmy Page, Michael Lindeman and David Gourley. Honorary Pallbearers are Raymond Wagner, L J Wagner, Rev. Don Ofsdahl, Roy Bruemmer, Roger Zercher and William Kenneth Triesch.

Memorials may be donated to Blanco Trinity Lutheran Church, Blanco Hospice, or American Cancer Society.
