I Serve God, and I’m Not Sorry!
Wednesday, August 27, 2008 • Posted August 26, 2008

Jesus said Mark 8:38 - “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."

I’m not sorry that I’m finally gaining courage to live how the bible says, even if others are not. It’s the bible that has given me confidence, stability, love, strength, peace of mind, joy, comfort, knowledge, wisdom, and it (God) even helps me to prioritize my life and job.

Most of us worry too much about what our neighbor thinks. Well, I’m not perfect yet, but I'm living for our Lord now, and not the world. I do not worry about the world, because when I follow God's commands, the rest of the law (man’s law), falls under the umbrella of our mighty God.

Romans 13:1-2 “1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.”

Galatians 5:22-23 “22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Jesus said when you give God the glory, and are not ashamed of Him, He will not be ashamed of us either.

Jesus said “Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28

Lift up your hands and voices and praise Him! Speak the name of Jesus to your friends, co-workers, strangers, and sing His mighty triumph, and lift yourself up out of your pit, out of your problems, out of your sluggard ways, and feel the strength and energy come in through His Spirit within you as a believer in Him, feel yourself suddenly surge with new energy and life, because His Spirit is LIFE! Be renewed in Him! Rejoice in Him!

Give your problems to the Lord, by doing a little footwork, and searching out your life in His word. What are you doing that may be going against His Word? Make some changes so that you are walking in His Word.

Psalm 22:26 “The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the Lord will praise him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.”

Psalm 27:6 “Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me. At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing and praising the Lord with music.”

Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.”

Psalm 32:2 “Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!”

Reading His Word gets it in you, but we have to ACT on it, to get it in our hearts, or else the enemy will actually steal the Word from us by force.

Matthew 13:12 “To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.”

Abide in Jesus by obeying His Word, in everything you do in your life, and He will give you anything you ask for. You might have to change jobs, or move to get away from friends who are pulling you down, but God will guide you if you seek Him and ask Him for help to change yourself and life so that you can have a deeper, stronger relationship
