Dorothy Dillon's sister, Joanne Klier is recovering nicely from open heart surgery. Wally Hiller is feeling much better as well.

Wes and Charlotte Thomas along with their children, Michael, Ley and Crystal, as well as Brittany Hesskew traveled to Conroe for the Thanksgiving holiday. They enjoyed seeing Wes' dad Jack, mom Dolly, brother, Eddy and sister-in-law Judy as well as his nephew Dustin and niece Tiffany, her husband Lupe,their children, Valerie, Ashley and Emma. As well as his sister Vicki and her husband Larry and his other brother Randy along with several other family members.

Charlotte Thomas and Sheri Hefley traveled towards the Spring Branch area on Saturday, November 24 where they attended the wedding of Alex Lockwood and Josh Mann, they then headed over to Anhalt for the reception to welcome the new couple as Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Mann.

Charlotte and Crystal Thomas traveled to Killeen on Friday to watch the Blanco Panthers battle the Ballinger Bearcats for the Area title in football. They were excited with the successful win by the Panthers.

Friday, Marilyn and Lawrence Mikes treated Nan to supper at the Rockin’ R Steakhouse. Their daughter and family, Debbie, Bobby, Shelby, and Travis Burt of Seguin joined them. Marvin Haas of Spring Branch and Johnnie, Patty, and Randy Haas of San Antonio were already there, so they all got to sit together and visit. They were celebrating Nan’s birthday.

Saturday, the Byars Family had a late Thanksgiving at the Mikes’ house. Marvin, Patty, Johnnie, and Randy Haas joined the Mikes, Marilyn, Lawrence and Nan, the Burts, Debbie, Bobby, Shelby and Travis, Nell Krueger, and Jeanette and David Leese of Van Vleck. They had the traditional meal of turkey and dressing with ham and side dishes to complete the spread, oh, and don’t forget desserts. They had a good visit and played dominoes.

Charles Willgren returned on Sunday evening from a five-day visit to Fort Collins, Colorado, for Thanksgiving. He enjoyed visiting with Amanda Griffith and his sister Caroline Willgren. Snow fell on Wednesday morning, and Charles arrived on Wednesday afternoon to see several inches of powdery snow that stuck around for his entire visit. Caroline and Charles joined Amanda and her family for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and party games at Amanda’s parents’ house. Highlights of the visit include a walk through Old Town Fort Collins (four-mile run/walk held annually) in 15-degree weather and an extremely entertaining Blue Man Group show in Colorado Springs.
