Wednesday, November 28, 2007 • Posted November 27, 2007

The Panthers traveled to Johnson City on Tuesday, November 20 after prevailing over Wimberley just the day before. The Panthers, who were dragging most of the first half, managed to hold the lead with a 9-8 score at the end of the first period. However, by half time the Eagles had taken advantage of the tired Panthers and had gained a four point lead as they went into the locker rooms.

Coming back out onto the court, the Panthers seemed to gain a little momentum as they started to play more of their game, but it was not enough to overcome the Eagles at this point.

The Panthers fought hard in the fourth period, yet still came up a little short with a final score of Blanco 30, Johnson City 39. Needless to say, the fouls had a lot to do with the shooting for the Eagles during the fourth period.

High scorer was Sarah Isenberg, who scored a total of seven points as she sank three two-point shots and was one for two at the line.

Sarah Kocurek scored one two-point shot, one three-point shot and was one for two at the line for a total of six points.

Alisa Guler finished the night with one two-point shot and was three for four at the line, Symbri McCarroll finished the night with one two-point shot and was two for two at the line for a total of four points.

Crystal Thomas sank one two-point shot and was one for two at the line with a total of three points. Lacee Hunter and Carla Martinez each had two points followed by Alyssa Warner who had one point.

The JV Panthers also faced the Eagles on Tuesday night. The Panthers could not seem to get it together on the court as they fell to the Eagles with a final score Blanco 8, Johnson City 44.

Scoring for the night was Chelsea San Miguel and Maggie Avila who each had three points and Sierra Martinez who scored two points.
