Arthur William Eickenloff

Arthur William Eickenloff, 94, was born to William & Anna Eickenloff in Roosevelt, Texas on September 2, 1914. Arthur Eickenhoff passed away on September 8, 2008 after a long illness with his family by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He loved his family and his family loved him. He will be greatly missed.

Arthur married Stella Dechert on October 3, 1937 at her parent’s home in Kendall County. Arthur started ranching at an early age in Comfort, Texas and that was his lifelong work. He enjoyed and loved working with his livestock, including cattle, sheep, and goats. He was a former member of the Texas Sheep & Goat Raisers Association. He was an active supporter of FFA and enjoyed high school sports events. He was a life-time member of the Blanco United Methodist Church.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 70 years, Stella; two sons, Rick and wife, Pam of Blanco and Jimmy and wife, Shirley of San Antonio; one daughter, Jeanie and husband, Tommy Weir of Deer Park. He is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

There was a visitation on Tuesday, September 9th from 5:00 – 7:00p.m. at Crofts Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 10th at 2:00p.m. at Crofts Funeral Home and burial is at Beck-Kuebel Cemetery in Blanco, Texas.
