To You, Who Wants to Be Known...
Wednesday, September 10, 2008 • Posted September 9, 2008

Someone invited me to their 'space' at myspace.com. It seems to me that it’s an internet website where people can display their pictures and “be themselves” OR a fantasy. It could also be a place where people can talk about who they really are, no holds barred.

No one can ever know you as well as God. No human being can love you as you really wish to be loved, and no husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, friend, family member, etc., can be relied upon for your happiness, or depended on for everything you need.

Psalm 34:4-7 – “4I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.

He freed me from all my fears.

5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.

7 For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.”

No matter how much money or friends you have, or how many engagements you’ve penciled in your calendar; no matter how much time you spend serving the church or other people; there will still be an emptiness, a void in your life, if you don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ. To have a relationship with Jesus Christ we need to "READ" God's Word and “ASK” (invite) Him to come into our hearts. He won't enter our temple (heart) just because we've decided to receive Him. Knock on God's Door to heaven, which, according to Scripture, is Jesus.

John 10:9 – “9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

Luke 11:9 – “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Psalm 34:8-10 – “ 8Taste and see that the Lord is good.

Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!

9 Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.

10 Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.”

Seek Jesus, by reading Matthew, Mark, Luke & John in your bible.

Deuteronomy 4:31 – “29But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.”

Deuteronomy 4:39-40 – “39So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. 40 If you obey all the decrees and commands I am giving you today, all will be well with you and your children. I am giving you these instructions so you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”

God’s Word is true and doesn’t change. His promise above applies to us now, through obedience to the commands Jesus gave us.

John 13:34-35 - "34So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Luke 18:18-22 – “18Once a religious leader asked Jesus this question: “Good Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”

19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “Only God is truly good. 20 But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother.’”

21 The man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.”

22 When Jesus heard his answer, he said, “There is still one thing you haven’t done. Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Be safe and don't divulge sensitive things about yourself on the internet with complete strangers who sound like they care. Only God cares about you more than anyone else because He created you.
