Blanco County Community Choir Looking for Singers
Wednesday, September 17, 2008 • Posted September 16, 2008

The Blanco County Community Choir has a 30 year tradition of sharing the joy of Christmas with the people of our county through music. Beverly Voron of Johnson City started the chorus and was joined by Vickie Pautz of Blanco as co-director about 27 years ago.

The members of the group are from Johnson City, Blanco, Round Mountain, and Fischer as well as San Antonio and Kyle. We think this cooperative activity draws the people of our county and area together in a way nothing else does. A

ll levels of musicianship are represented as well, from people with music degrees to those who have some choral experience and to those who don’t read music but love to sing.

We’d like to invite anyone interested to join us as we rehearse for two performances of The Messiah to be performed in both Johnson City and Blanco in early December.

Rehearsals have begun on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 at the Baptist Church in Blanco.

Please contact Beverly at 868-7215 or Vickie Pautz at 844-5164.
