Wednesday, September 17, 2008 • Posted September 16, 2008

Antelope for Africa Safaris has donated a ten-day South African Hunting Safari for 2 hunters to the Wild Game Dinner fundraiser. The hunt will be included in the Game Dinner’s Live Auction on Saturday, October 4th. Leonard and Sean Pruett were last year’s high bidder. Leonard took a Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Red Hartebeest, Impala and a Warthog. Sean took a Zebra, Impala, Blesbok and Baboon on their very memorable father and son hunting safari last March. Jack Coker purchased the 2006 hunt and came home with three Cape Buffalo, Blue Wildebeest and a Zebra. Wayne, better known as “Dirt”, and Deborah Dworaczyk purchased a seven-day hunt donated to the 2005 Wild Game Dinner. A video presentation of the trips will be on display during the dinner. Don’t miss your chance to bid on this chance of a lifetime hunt.

Base camp is located on the conservancy area at Zwartkop District in the Limpopo Province. Outfitter, Melville du Plessis, has 25 years experience personally organizing and conducting customized safaris in all 9 provinces of South Africa.

The hunt is valued at $8,500 and includes transportation from Polokwane Internat (airport in Limpopo Province), all accommodations, meals, daily laundry service, the services of a licensed professional hunter, use of hunting vehicle, your trackers, skinners and camp staff, hunting licenses and permits. Hunters are responsible for airfare and trophy fees. For more information visit bwanamel.com.

Other great hunts that will be included in the live auction are a management Red Stag hunt and a guided management White Tail hunt at Benson Farm & Ranch. There will also be a father and son West Texas Deer hunt donated by the Wallace Ranch.
