“And I searched for a man among them, who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” Ezekiel 22:30

“For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes.” Jeremiah 16:17

God watches and listens, as it says He looked for a man to stand in the gap and pray for those sinners who would not pray so He could save the land and people, but He found none. God is waiting for someone to turn to Him and ASK for help! Will you stand in the gap and pray?

Now is the time, many need help. Maybe we should stand in the gap and ask God to help them. His Word says that the prayers of a righteous (wo)man availeth much.

James 5:16 – “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” A righteous (wo)man is “him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.” Romans 4:5

Genesis 15:6 – “Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.” Romans 4: 22-25; Psalm 1:6; Psalm 5:12; Psalm 34:15.

I hang on the following scripture.

Deuteronomy 4:40 – “40 If you obey all the decrees and commands I am giving you today, all will be well with you and your children. I am giving you these instructions so you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace; that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Heb. 4:16

When we’re not sure how to pray for an individual (or the leaders of our great country), we can just tell God we’re willing to be that hedge and stand in the gap for “Whomever” and ask that their burdens be loosed and lifted so they can be free from every yoke that hinders them from receiving God’s blessings, and that they receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour; “And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” 2 Timothy 2:26

Rely on the Holy Ghost; Romans 8:26 - “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.”

Jesus said “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” Mark 16:17

So ask God in Jesus’ name, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” Isaiah 58:6

“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

It’s all about Jesus, “Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God the Father.” Galatians 1:4

James said we have not ‘cause we ask not. (James 4:2) So, stand in the gap and ask (and No doubting)!

“And above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Ephesians 6:16
