The Blanco Bowling Club had the 2008 Summer roll-offs on Sept. 9th & 10th.

In Round One - The first place team #8; Captain John L. Dechert & Linda Dechert, Bill & Carla Ernst, and Howard & Beverly Koch bowled against the fourth place team #5; Captain Tom Gourley and Tina Gourley, Dorothy Troppy & Ken Olfers, and Steve (Grip) Weber & Evelyn Weber. The scores were: Team #8 - 176 and 270, and Team #5 - 163 and 212. Team #8 won that round.

Also in Round One - The third place Team #13; Captain Arlin Dowdy & Alice Dowdy, Connie Russell & Clara Gourley, and Troy Immel & Eddye Beth Struck bowled against the second place Team #4; Captain Barbara Maly and Dottie Delavan, Norm Gourley & Zack Swierc, and Jeff Swierc & Virgie McHugh. The scores were: Team #13 - 186 and 196, and Team #4 - 221 and 213. Team #4 won that round.

In Round Two, Team #8, John L. Dechert’s team bowled against Team #4, Barbara Maly’s team for the championship. In the first game, Bill Ernst’s nine ringers powered John L.‘s team for a score of 273 to a win over a score of 245 for Barbara’s team. In the second game John L. and Linda each made a ringer in the 6th frame to seal the win in that game for a score of 206 against Barbara’s close game of 203. John L.’s team won this round and is the league champion. Congratulations to them and to all the teams that made the roll-offs.
