Wednesday, September 17, 2008 • Posted September 16, 2008

Cowboy Up for Kids will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 6-10pm at Boulder Creeks Farms, located five miles east of Marble Falls, Texas, on FM 1431. Eddie Eppler Chuckwagon Productions will provide dinner, with dance music and entertainment throughout the evening by KR Woods and his Cowboy Band. The evening includes raffles, dancing, and a live as well as a silent auction.

This event will benefit the Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center, based in Burnet, Texas. The Center provides services for children and their non-offending family members who have been victimized by physical and sexual abuse. The Center covers seven Hill Country counties: Blanco, Burnet, Lampasas, Llano, Mason, Mills, and San Saba. Patrons support and generosity will help provide much-needed services.

In 2007, the Center conducted 221 child interviews. In the first eight months of 2008, the Center has experienced a 44 percent increase in cases. The staff anticipates helping a record number of child victims this year.

The Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization. All contributions are tax deductible as allowed by Federal law.
