Tiger Cub Graduation
Wednesday, September 17, 2008 • Posted September 16, 2008

These four young gentlemen completed the requirements to graduate to the next level of boy scouts. Cade Felps, Jeremy Cloud, Skylar Wagner, Joshua Neill and their families enjoyed a fossil dig, hot dog roast and swimming for their end of the year party at the Wagner’s home on August 30, 2008.

These boys have had a fun filled year with many adventures. They visited the Klepac Greenhouses where Jimmy Klepac told them about the different flower, plants and environments in which they live. We also had a wonderful tour of the Blanco County Courthouse led by Mrs. Norman Jean Felps. She showed us all the pictures and told us wonderful stories.

We went to the Blanco Taxidermy School where Jerry let us look, touch and learn about some of the magnificent creatures that he has in his shop. We also went to Lost Pines Boy Scout Camp near Bastrop and experienced archery, shooting, rocket making, gold mining and paint ball shooting.

We also had our own Pine wood Derby and some of the boys advanced to the area Pinewood Derby in Marbles Falls where our own Joshua Neill won first place! We would like to thank our great Den Leader, Kirk Felps, for all of his time, energy and patience with all the boys, helping them to achieve this goal. We would also like to thank the parents of these boys for all that they did to help the den leader and the boys achieve this goal. You have to be involved for this to work.

If this sounds like something that you and your son would be interested in please come to Blanco Boy Scout Recruitment night! Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Blanco Elementary Cafeteria, 6:00 – 7:00.
