The earliest game of the season for the JV Gold Squad. As the team gathers for a 11:00 kickoff in Johnson City versus the Marble Falls JV Black Mustangs. The Panthers kicked off to the Mustangs squad, from that point the Mustangs didn’t look back. They seemed to effortlessly move the football against our Panthers. The Panthers fought hard to hold the Mustang to a Two touchdown lead going into the half. The second half faired a little better for the Panthers. They only allowed the Mustangs one more score for the entire game. It was at this point of the game the Panthers impressed every one the most. The boys were down three touchdowns, and never gave up. In the 4th quarter the panthers swarmed through the line sacking the Mustangs quarterback, causing a fumble. Jared Mayfield quickly snatches up the ball and scampers up the field for a 62 yard touchdown.
