•38th Annual Ladies State Chili Championship of Texas: Lady cooks from all over the state compete for the title and show teams entertain the crowd. The men are invited to flex their muscles and strut their stuff in the 1st Annual Open Barbeque. Games, vendors, music and more! Admission is FREE. Proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. •Hill Country Galleria, the 1.3-million-square-foot lifestyle center, located 16 miles west of Austin in Bee Cave, will feature a car show on Sunday, October 12 from 12:00 to 6:00p.m. to benefit the local Bee Cave library. Collector cars, antiques, modern classics, Detroit Iron, street rods, foreign sports and exotics – even art cars and Batmobiles are all welcome.
