William “Bill” Kretzer, Jr

William “Bill” Kretzer, Jr., 70, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008 in San Antonio. Bill was born in San Antonio to William Joseph Kretzer, Sr. and Dorothy Ray Michot. He was raised in Blanco where he helped his mother operate the Blanco Theater and graduated from Blanco High School. Bill served his country with the U.S. Army with 2 years active and 4 years reserve duty. Following the military Bill received his bachelor’s degree from UTSA and was as an accountant. He was passionate about reading and enjoyed studying his family genealogy. Bill was a member of 1st Baptist Church, Blanco and Bulverde United Methodist Church.

Mr. Kretzer was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Ashley N. Richie. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Johnnie Ottenhouse Kretzer, daughter, Kathryn A. Richie and husband Troy, granddaughters Allyson and Lauren Richie, sisters, Mary Frances Kretzer and Dorothy Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Blanco Cemetery, Blanco, TX. Arrangements by Crofts Funeral Home, 911 Mesquite, Blanco, TX 78606. 830-833-4523
