Ninety-five descendents fo the William Schaeferkoeter family celebrated their 31st Annual Reunion at the Twin Sisters School on Sunday, September 28, 2008.

A delicious covered-dish lunch and much visiting was enjoyed by all in attendance. The event was hosted by the Ida Waxler family.

Family came from Blanco, Fredericksburg, Austin, Liberty Hill, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Canyon Lake, Poteet, and Germany.

There were four couples in attendance who had each been married more than sixty years: Clemens and Fieda Pehl, Francis and Gertrude Hartmann, Harold and Meta Pahl, and Arnold and Helen Schaeferkoeter.

Next year’s reunion will be hosted by the Fred Schaeferkoeter family on the orginal Schaeferkoeter family ranch property.
