An International Affair
Wednesday, October 22, 2008 • Posted October 21, 2008

A local Blanco family recently enjoyed an international celebration here in town.

Luis Ramirez and family celebrated the marriage of his daughter, Laura, to Bruno Allegre of Cotignac, France.

The celebration took place on Saturday, September 27th, at the Gem of the Hills. Guests from France, Venezuela, and Texas enjoyed a delicious dinner cooked by Dennis Moore and his family, and danced the night away to music by the R. K. Woods band of Houston.

Mary Jo Eisenberg was the wedding party coordinator and flowers for the event were purchased from the Arnosky Family Farm.

Guests also went home with a special Venezuelan gift – scrumptious chocolate truffles made by the Ramirez family in their chocolate store in Merida, Venezuela.

The French visitors particularly enjoyed learning to dance to “Texas” music and hope to return soon to perfect their “two step” skills.

Laura and Bruno Allegre will be living in Paris, where she is a fashion designer and he is a professional model.
