We need to be content

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been having some trials. I know they are tests, to see who I’m gonna’ run to. I’m learning to run to God for every little thing.

All my life I’ve been deceived. I thought adults had it easy, and us kids were the ones who had a hard, sad life. That was because the world deceived me.

One illusion is that adults can go where they want, and do what they want, when they want. As a kid, I was told “no” a lot. Then I had my own kids, and saw that adults don’t have it easy, and it seems to get harder and harder, the older I get, instead of easier! Why is that? It’s like, can God put another thing on me that I don’t want to handle? I had a revelation this week, something Paul said. Be content! What?!

Philippians 4:12 - “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”

1 Timothy 6:6 - “But godliness with contentment is great gain.”

I believe when we are trying to handle each and every situation the way the bible tells us to, that the “prince of the power of the air” brings about circumstances that make life difficult!

The trials & tribulations that we have, are those that Jesus said we would have. He endured them, too, and He said 24"A disciple is not above his teacher, nor is a servant or slave above his master.” Mt. 10:24

Ephesians 2:2 - “In which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of this present age], following the prince of the power of the air. [You were obedient to and under the control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and the unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God].” AMP

3 John 1:11 -”Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.”

Jesus said in Matthew 5:48 - “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Paul said in Romans 12:2 - “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

I share these scriptures because I feel compelled to in my heart, I must. It’s for love of His Word, for Jesus, Who is the Word.

Rev. 19:11-13 - “11After that I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse [appeared]! The One Who was riding it is called Faithful (Trustworthy, Loyal, Incorruptible, Steady) and True, and He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness (holiness, justice, and uprightness).

12His eyes [blaze] like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand.

13He is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God.” (AMP)
