2009 Relay for Life to Kick Off November 11
Wednesday, October 29, 2008 • Posted October 28, 2008

Those that support Relay for Life should mark Tuesday, November 11th on their calendars. That’s when we will be having our annual Kickoff Party to start a new year.

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature event, where teams raise money and walk, while enjoying entertainment, food, fun and camaraderie. Cancer survivors are the shining stars of Relay for Life; we celebrate their courage in the fight. Teams are forming now of family and friends, local companies, businesses, schools, churches, hospitals, clubs and organizations! Come to the Relay for Life Kickoff Party to hear more and to learn how YOU can become a Team Captain or join an existing team.

Why Relay? One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer within their lifetime. The money raised at Relay saves lives by funding cutting-edge cancer research, early detection and prevention education, advocacy efforts, and patient services. Your involvement makes this all possible.

Make a difference in the fight against cancer! You can contact Kasi Baker at (210) 415-9591 or Mandi Welch at (830) 385-5559 with any questions. You can also contact Laura Jenschke (luminaria) at (512) 971-9097 or Sylvia Romero (teams) at (512) 461-6337. Please bring any friends and family. The event will be at 7:00pm at the PEC Auditorium with appetizers being served and door prizes being awarded. We look forward to seeing you!
