Blanco Chamber of Commerce to Elect New Directors
Wednesday, October 29, 2008 • Posted October 28, 2008

On Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 9:00am at 312 Pecan Street, the Blanco Chamber of Commerce members will elect new directors to fill three available positions on their Board of Directors. Nominees are: Liz Waller of On the Square, Karen Roets of Miller Creek Lavender, and Rick Sebenoler of Blanco Retreat. Members are encouraged to come and vote.

These three nominees bring with them backgrounds rich in experience and enthusiasm. Liz Waller, a seasoned merchant and business person, served on the board and as president in the past, and has contributed many hours to different Chamber projects and committees. Karen Roets, one of our lavender growers, brings with her the pioneer and can-do spirit that has been necessary to face the natural elements of the Hill Country, and the challenges of bringing a new agricultural crop to the area. Rick Sebenoler is one of Blanco’s newest business owners, and brings years of expertise in economic development. He currently serves as a Program Officer for the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Waller, Roets, and Sebenoler join the current board: Jon Brieger (President), Brieger Pottery; Debbie Vallone Homeier (President-Elect), Vallone Real Estate; Pat Caufield, CPA (Treasurer); John Stults (Secretary), Texas Hill Country Financial Services; Marcy Westcott, Westcott Graphic Print; Charlotte Lovett, Uptown Blanco Restaurant; Mark Tidwell, Blanco National Bank; Jennifer Oines, resident & individual member; and Trudy Adams, Adams Automotive.

Homeier will become President in January, Caufield and Stults will retain their positions, Brieger will stay on as Past-President, and Adams will resign from the board after serving a two-year term.
