Woman’s Club Silver Tea Donations Top $26,000
Wednesday, December 12, 2007 • Posted December 11, 2007

The 67th annual Silver Tea for the benefit of Blanco Library was enjoyed by all Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Old Blanco County Court House. The event was hosted and served by the Blanco Woman’s Club members. Guests hailed from a wide area and the donations have topped $26,000 as of publishing time.

The decorations were beautifully set by Barbara Crowley, with many poinsettias donated by the Arnosky Flower Farm. Kathee Copeland, Linda Lyons, and Sue McFarland made a wonderful presentation of savories, sweets, coffee, and punch, with the help of members of the tea committee, Lorie Stetler, Janie Jones, Dean Myane, Candy Cargill Wenzel, and Peggy Welch, and Nell Krueger. The food was not only beautiful, but interesting and delicious.

The Woman’s Club and Blanco Library Inc. want to thank every donor for their kind gifts. Donations are still being gratefully received at the Library if you were unable to attend.
