Blanco County Child Protection and Family Advocacy Board Presents Check to BISD
Wednesday, November 5, 2008 • Posted November 4, 2008

The Blanco County Child Protection and Family Advocacy Board partnered with Blanco Independent School District to create a resource closet of school supplies for Blanco school children in need.

Presenting the check were Wendy Smith, Treasurer and Matt Herndon, member of CPS and Blanco ISD School Board member. Receiving the gift on behalf of the Blanco School district were Dr. Buck Ford, Superintendent and Dustin Barton, Principal of the High School. Not present was Bill Swiss, President of BCCP&FAB.

BCCP&FAB has made it one of their missions to provide needed services to under-privileged children in Blanco County.

The donation is to allow the school to purchase paper, notebooks, pens, or whatever supplies that are needed by students in all grades.

Should the need exceed the initial donation, the board may be able to provide additional funds.

The BCCP&FAB is also interested in helping those children who may need a winter coat, school clothes, sports clothing or shoes.
