Honoring Veterans

On November 11, the nation will recognize the men and women who fought for our country and gave us the freedoms that we celebrate today.

In Blanco, the ceremonies will begin on Saturday, November 8, with the Blanco Veterans Day Parade.

The parade will start at 10:00am and go downtown and around the courthouse.

Immediately following the parade, there will be a ceremony at the Old Blanco County Courthouse honoring the Veterans.

The American Legion will also be hosting a Spaghetti Lunch, with plates costing $6 for adults and $3 for children.

On Tuesday, November 11, Blanco ISD will host several ceremonies honoring the Veterans.

At 8:00am, a flag ceremony will be held at Blanco Middle School, featuring the Blanco Panther Band.

At 8:30am, a patriotic slide show will be shown at Blanco High School in the Cafeteria, with complimentary breakfast pastries and beverages.

At 10:45am, a patriotic assembly at Blanco Elementary, with complimentary lunch to follow.
