•Art class at the Blanco Senior Citizen’s Center, located in the Gem of the Hills Community Center, Hwy 281 N in Blanco. Nov 6 from 9:30am to 11:30am. Guest artist is Omce Depew. For more info, call Liz at 830-833-2713 to register for this free class. You do NOT have to be a senior citizen to participate!

•Please join the Bulverde/Spring Branch Library Sat, Nov 8 for its Grand Opening ceremony from 1 to 3pm. Tim Derk, retired Spurs Coyote mascot, will be the Master of Ceremonies. Smithson Valley High School NJROTC will present colors, local dignitaries will be speaking, & the SVHS Silver Spurs will have a presentation. Refreshments will follow. Library is located at 131 Bulverde Crossing, on the hill across from the Home Depot. Buses will provide transportation to the library if you wish to park at Home Depot.

•The American Legion Memorial Highway Post 352: Annual Spaghetti Dinner on Nov 8 at the Old Blanco County Courthouse immediately following the Veteran's Day Parade & Memorial Service. Meal includes spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread, salad, & choice of desserts. Adults: $6, Children under 12: $3. Everyone welcome to sit & eat or take home. To go boxes will be provided.

•Second Saturday at Blanco State Park: “Fall Changes” Every 2nd Sat of the month, Blanco State Park hosts a talk by local experts on various subjects with introductory and in-depth information. This Saturday come see all the changes in the park as we move into winter. We will look for migratory birds, leaf changes and autumn blooming flowers. Appropriate for all ages. Walk begins at 9:00am. •The Katherine Anne Porter School in Wimberley hosts the annual Java Jive Music Fest at Lions Club Market Day Pavilion on FM 2325, Wimberley. Sun, November 9th; 2 to 8pm. Live music, coffees, foods & auction. Tickets: $10 adults, $8 students. Proceeds go to enhance the learning environment at the Katherine Anne Porter School-a free, public charter high school. •Toddler Time at Blanco State Park: A relaxed and inviting experience for parents & toddlers (ages1-3) to enjoy nature together. Classes every 2nd and 4th Thurs of the month; begins at 10:00am. Activities include walks, meeting plant & animal friends and hearing stories. Parents remain with children for entire class & should dress themselves and child for outside activities. Cost is entry fee to the park: $4 per person over 13 yrs. For more info: 830-833-4333.

•Outdoor Preschool at Blanco State Park: Program will provide space for kids to explore, hear stories of nature & learn about plants & animals. Children ages 3-5 and parent/caregiver (no more than 2 kids per adult please). Kids & adults should wear clothes for being outside & closed toe shoes. Takes place every 1st and 3rd Tues of the month; class begins at 9:30am. Cost is entry fee to the park: $4 per person over 13 yrs. More info: 830-833-4333.
