On November 30th Blanco State Park bid farewell to long time employee Kenneth Moore who, after 33 years of service to the park, has retired.

A dinner was held in his honor the following Saturday with dozens of friends, colleagues and family in attendance.

Mr. Moore began his tenure with Texas Parks and Wildlife and Blanco State Park in 1974. He worked his way up through the ranks and retired as the Lead Ranger of the park.

His love for the park and the people it served was evident in the friendly way he always treated visitors and the care he took in preserving the beauty of the park. Kenneth Moore will be missed at Blanco State Park.
