Wednesday, December 12, 2007 • Posted December 11, 2007

St. Ferdinand’s Catholic Church held an anniversary service last Sunday to celebrate 67 years in the ommunity of Blanco.

The church was constructed and dedicated April 9, 1940. Prior to the construction of St. Ferdinand’s, Catholics attended services at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, located at Twin Sisters.

During Sunday’s celebration, Father Nichodemus Ejiambo, pastor of St. Ferdinand’s, recognized all parish members who have attended the church for 25 years or more.

He thanked all present for their service to the church and dedication to keep the Catholic community growing in Blanco.

Many other parish members–who received certificates of appreciation–were also thanked by Father Nich for their contributions to the parish.

The celebration ended with a closing prayer by Father Nich.
