Wrapping it All Up
Wednesday, December 12, 2007 • Posted December 11, 2007

December 4, 2007 – The Blanco County Child Protection & Family Advocacy Board held its second annual Christmas Wrapping Party at the home of Co-Chairman Bill Swiss and his wife, Elaine. The Swiss’ lovely home, in Round Mountain, became a swirl of rustling paper, ribbons, and laughter as each gift was lovingly wrapped. Wish list items for children of Blanco County in proprietorship had been previously purchased and were waiting at the party to be wrapped by the group. Each child received multiple gifts thanks to generous donations. It was great fun to see the various gifts as well as the joy on the faces of those wrapping. Being able to help children to have a Merry Christmas is a wonderful feeling!

Members attending the Wrapping Party: Brenda Adair, Sandy Mann, Wendy Smith, Susan and Alan Dean, Mary Frances Madison, Laurie Williams, Margie Vasquez, Charlene Stueler, Suzette Connell, Diane Beagle, Bill Swiss. CPS Representatives Dorinda Duzan and Teresa Greenburg, and former member Connie Granberg were also present.

If you would also like to participate in the joy of giving in 2008 to Blanco County children, please contact Diane Beagle, Bill Swiss, or any of the CPS Board members for more information.
