Dear Mr. Kvapil,
Many of the teachers and staff at Blanco Elementary want to thank you for your support. The year began with a positive outlook. We were excited not only about another year of students, but also about the fact that our principal, aides, secretaries, custodians, and others seemed to have the same goals in mind. With your leadership, we were able to come together for the good of our school.
Thank you for all of the wonderful changes you initiated. We realize our school does not have the funds to do everything we would like, but we appreciate your work in prioritizing what needs to be done. It was nice to drive up to some of the exterior upgrades that were completed over the summer. The new cafeteria tables are also wonderful! The noise has been greatly decreased since the clatter of chairs is gone and it simply looks better. We want to be proud of our school and we love having a principal that has that same pride. Taking attendance and discipline issues seriously has also been a great success.
As you know, we have a lot of fun in our classrooms, but we also have a job to do and need our students to take school seriously.
Traffic changes have also been a success. The new pick-up and drop-off areas are safer and more manageable. Overall school safety has improved with the enforcement of proper sign-in procedures. We know our kids are safer!
We cannot speak out and say everything has been “peachy,” because with a new school year comes new struggles, but your leadership has kept us positive.
The district wide curriculum changes have kept us all busy. With change there always seems to be an element of challenge, but with your support and professionalism we are successfully meeting those challenges. We also want to thank you for making our staff meetings meaningful and productive.
If you asked us whether or not we agree with every single decision you make, the answer would probably be no. Is there ever a situation where all 60 employees agree with the decisions of their boss? Although we may not be 100% happy all of the time, we know if we come to you with an issue or concern, you listen and help us solve it.
We want to express our excitement about the great things we are doing at Blanco Elementary. Morale is great!
Thank you for supporting the lounge changes and allowing us to decorate special plates to line the cabinets. Secret Santa is also a whole lot of fun, and you can see how excited we are about the staff Christmas Party since there are a record number of participants this year.
When visitors come to visit Blanco Elementary, we hope they see what you have helped make possible – our principal, staff, amazing PTO, and parents working together for the good of our children. Thank you!
