•Toddler Time at Blanco State Park: This program is a relaxed and inviting experience for parents and toddlers (ages 1-3) to enjoy nature together. Classes take place every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. Activities will include walks, meeting plant and animal friends and hearing stories. Parents will remain with children for entire class and should dress themselves and their child for outside activities. The only cost is the entry fee into the park, $4.00 for every person over 13 years of age. Class begins at 10:00am. For more information please call (830) 833-4333.

•Outdoor Preschool at Blanco State Park: This program will provide space for children to explore, hear stories of nature and learn about plants and animals. It is appropriate for children ages 3-5 and their parents or caregivers (no more than two children per adult please). Children and adults should wear clothes for being outside and closed toe shoes. Classes will take place every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. The only cost is the entry fee into the park, $4.00 for every person over 13 years of age. Class begins at 9:30am. •Blanco Lavender Lights: Traditional Courthouse Lighting and Open House Around the Square from 5 to 9pm day after Thanksgiving. Merchants stay open late and serve refreshments throughout the evening. Shoppers will be encouraged to participate in a “ visit all the shops” program and in exchange will receive a free gift from the Chamber and will qualify for other drawings. If you’d like to volunteer for the event, contact the Chamber at 833-5101.

•AARP Drivers Safety Program: December 4 & 5 from 12:30- 4:30pm. Location - CRRC, 1917 FM 2673, Sattler. Refresh your knowledge of current laws and driving skills. •Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc. has started an exciting new home rehabilitation volunteer program! You Can Save Wild Lives ...at Home! You can help care for orphaned wildlife babies by taking a few into your own home for approximately 5 to 6 weeks in the spring and summer. Opportunities are available to help care for squirrels, opossums, or birds. WRR staff will give you the training and specialized supplies you need to provide this valuable service. WRR will be hosting a Home Rehabilitation Information Session at the Thousand Oaks Branch of the Public Library on December 6th. Those interested can join WRR at 12:30pm to learn how they might become involved with this program.
