The mission of Keep Blanco Beautiful is to educate and engage Blanco Citizens to take responsibility for improving their community environment. Keep Blanco Beautiful (KBB) is an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful and during Texas and America Recycles Day, we are proud to provide educational materials at the Blanco Library and Real Foods. The library has many books on our environment; how we can make it safe, healthy and do our part by recycling is the subjects of this display. At Real Food, we have pamphlets, informational sheets and an ink jet recycling container. Please check both of these sites.

Texas Recycles Day takes place every year on November 15th, and aims to raise public awareness of the economic and environmental benefits of recycling. The theme for “ Texas Recycles Day” is “It All Comes Back To You”. With an emphasis on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rebuy.

Recycling Alliance of Texas and National Recycling Coalition are helping to motivate Texans to make recycling part of their everyday lives. Recycling not only decreases the amount of garbage thrown away each year, but it also conserves natural resources, saves energy, and reduces the amount of landfill space used each year.

Help Keep Blanco Beautiful by making recycling a part of your everyday life. Any individual, civic group, youth organization, or company can participate. For more information, contact Keep Blanco Beautiful at PO Box 694, Blanco, Texas 78606.
