Harry Henry Nieman, Jr.

Harry Henry Nieman, Jr, 82, passed away in a San Antonio hospital September 19, 2007. Harry was born in Victoria on July 24, 1925 to Harry Henry, Sr and Lenora Neumann Nieman. He served in the Army Air Corp during WW II as a pilot. After a career as a chemist for Reynolds Aluminum in Portland, Tx, he and Laura (Gann), his wife of 61 years, retired to Blanco in 1984. He was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco.

He is survived by his wife, Laura, two daughters, Gayle Hampel of New Braunfels and Sharon Hollingsworth of Pearland, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Crofts Funeral Home, Blanco. A graveside service will be 10:00 AM Saturday at the San Patricio Memorial Gardens in Portland with Pastor Don Ofsdahl officiating. Pall Bearers will be Frank Hampel, Frankie Hampel, Stephen Taylor, Doug Hollingsworth, Travis Wuest and Charles Pratt.
