(Texas State University-San Marcos, San Marcos, TX) – On Friday, November 14 2008, Texas State University student and member of the Texas State Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team, Muhammad Weusi, received monitors, CPU’s, and printers from Baker Surveying located in Blanco Texas, in an effort to recycle the non-functioning equipment.
The goal of “Project Green Earth” is to raise awareness of environmental dangers and their impact on our world. Our objective is to reach every SIFE team on the planet – 1,800 in all – with our Project Green Earth. Project Green Earth showed the necessary components to understand that the long-term success and prosperity of a market economy, businesses and individuals are dependent on ethical business practices.
SIFE is a global, non-profit organization that is literally changing the world through highly dedicated student teams on more than 1600 university campuses in 40 countries.
