Panthers Head To Texas Stadium

The Blanco Panther Varsity Football team is preparing this week to travel to Dallas where they will fight for their spot in the State Finals. They will be facing the Daingerfield Tigers. Kick-off will be at 7:30pm on Friday, December 12 at Texas Stadium.

Tickets are available at Blanco High School until 5:00pm on Thursday. Tickets purchased from the High School cost $5 for students and $8 for adults; at the gate they will $10 for everyone, cash only. Parking will be $5 and opens at 5:00pm. The Blanco entrance is Gate 3. You may not bring any food, beverage, or containers into the stadium. There are no in and out privileges; once in the stadium, you may not exit and re-enter on the same ticket.

Plans to get fans there have been in the works since the clock ran out on Saturday night and the Panthers advanced. Dirt Works is sponsoring chartered buses that fans can ride in to get to the game. Cost to reserve a seat is $20 per person. In order to reserve a seat on the bus, contact DirtWorks at 833-2097. The buses will be departing from Blanco General on Friday at 12:30pm. They will begin loading the buses at 12:00pm.

If you are not able to make the trip, Uptown Blanco Restaurant is the place to go. They are opening up their back room, with no cover charge, to any fans wanting to watch the game. The game is being broadcast on the internet by private internet connection, and Uptown is going to show it on the big screen. Doors will open at 7:00pm.

On Thursday, December 11, at 6:00pm, there will be a Pep Rally and Potluck to pump up the Panthers in the High School gym. All are welcome to come and help cheer on the Panthers!
