•Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc. has started an exciting new home rehabilitation volunteer program! You can help care for orphaned wildlife babies by taking a few into your own home for approximately 5 to 6 weeks in the spring and summer. Opportunities are available to help care for squirrels, opossums, or birds. WRR staff will give you the training and specialized supplies you need to provide this valuable service.WRR will be hosting a Home Rehabilitation Information Session at the Blanco Chamber of Commerce Meeting Room located at 312 Pecan Street, on December 13th. Those interested can join WRR at 2:30pm to learn how they might become involved with this program. •Santa’s Ranch Open Nightly Through New Year’s Eve: Spectacular Christmas light park with more than 1.5 million twinkling lights on 12 acres, is open to the public every evening through New Year’s Eve. Located on I-35 between New Braunfels and San Marcos and celebrating its sixth season, the park has become a holiday destination for families through out central Texas. •Annual Holiday Band Concert on Tuesday December 16, at 7:00 p.m. at the Elementary Auditorium. The elementary, middle school, and high school bands will perform.
