The JV B team lost to Lago Vista 19-13. Braden Batey had 6 points for the Panthers, followed by Jordan Handberry with 5, and Derek Flores with 2.

The JV A team beat Lago Vista 41-33. Clayon Green had 11 points and led the team. Zach Barnes had 10, Tanner Rogers had 8, Matt Pepper and James Perez had 3 each, and Dillon Luke, Cody Martinez and Travis McClinton all had 2.

The Varsity boys had only one day of practice to get ready for Lago Vista, but still prevailed. The Panthers out-rebounded the Vikings 44-28, and won 52-35. Anthony Vela, who missed last season with a knee injury, returned in a big way and led the team in scoring with 16 points. John Pepper, who also missed last season with a knee injury, scored 15. Chase Howells and Blake West each had 6 points, and Austin Carrolla had 4. Pre-season All-Starter Derek Tesch (Texas Basketball magazine) had only 5 points while running the point, but controlled the game with 18 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 4 assists. The Panthers led 17-8 after the 1st quarter, 29-16 at the half, and 44-26 after 3.
