Mr. and Mrs. Wesley F. Booth celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, September 6th with a dinner at Creek Road Cafe in Dripping Springs. In attendance were immediate family as well as close friends of more than forty years acquaintance. The former Jan Propst of Anson, Texas married Wesley Booth of Stephenville, Texas on Saturday, September 5th, 1964 in her hometown church.

We just wanted to thank our Blanco Community, teachers, and staff for your outpouring of love, prayers, support, and food that has been provided to our family during a tragic time in our lives. It has been two weeks since our two brothers passed away in a plane accident, and the prayers and support from our Blanco Community have been such a blessing.

Kaitlyn Hesskew is a graduate from Blanco High School class of 2011. She has completed her Medical Coding and Billing Certificate at US Career Institute in 2012, then recently has graduated from Southern Careers Institute Class of 2014 with high honors and a degree in Medical Assisting. She makes her home in Burnet, Texas with her fiance RJ and her daughters Makynzi and Aliviya, where she works for QoL Meds in Llano, inside Llano County MHDD. On August 16th, Steve and Phil Edmondson celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary at Uptown Blanco. Over a hundred attended and enjoyed cake and snacks and refreshments. High school classes of 1959 and 1960 were in attendance as well as family, friends and neighbors. Steve and Phil wish to thank everyone for their attendance, cards and wishes.

The family of Bubba Fisher thanks everyone that extended hugs and kind words, brought food, offered up prayers on our behalf, took out the trash and a host of other things that in our grief seemed impossible to do. The outpouring of love, care and concern was beyond our imagining and we are forever grateful.

Although time passes quickly, memories of loved ones linger. The daughters of Rebecca Howerton are sincerely grateful to everyone who expressed their love for their mother by purchasing items from her estate last year. Lavender Festival begins this Friday, June 13 at Noon. On behalf of the Blanco Chamber of Commerce and Lavender Festival Steering Committee, our most heartfelt thanks to the many local businesses sponsors for this year’s event. Christina Behrends graduated from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine on May 8, 2014. She is 2007 graduate of Blanco High School and completed the pre-veterinary curriculum at Texas A&M University prior to being admitted to the College of Veterinary Medicine. Her proud parents are Dr. David Behrends of Blanco and Julie Jones of Danville, Kentucky.
