The 91st Psalm is such a great writing of faith and hope, and even for good health. Have you read it lately? When I read it, I insert myself into it as a prayer, present tense. Psalm 91 “1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover ...

Ephesians 5:31-33 says, “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.” This week we will continue our series on the wonderful and great mystery of marriage. Jesus is our kinsman redeemer.

Are you sinking? Remember when Peter was walking across water towards Jesus and he began to sink? Perhaps you’ve taken your eyes off of Jesus, like he did. Have you reached a point where you don’t have a reason to get off that chair or out of bed? Are you bored, with no motivation, or desire to work on your hobbies (nothing is important to you)?

Someone has stated that, “An unread Bible is like food uneaten, a love letter never read, a buried sword, a road map unstudied, gold never mined.” It has also been said that heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. Truly Jesus did say, “I go to prepare a place for you…” (John 14:1-3).

I encourage you to read Ephesians 5:22-33. As an introduction to this series, I would like to offer an encouragement and a warning. I’ll give the warning first: If you really desire a heavenly marriage, and set your heart on finding God’s knowledge, understanding, and wisdom of how to do this; Satan will come immediately to steal that word.

I encourage you to read Malachi 1:6-8, 2:4-8, 17; 3:13-15. We see from these verses that the prophet Malachi was rebuking the spiritual leaders of Israel for several reasons. 1. They were despising God’s name, and not honoring Him. They were teaching the people that God’s word - even God Himself - was not very important, and that it’s ok to disobey Him and dishonor Him.

We’re called to share the Good News of Jesus! We’re the messengers, and we share in various ways. I may be sitting at a bus stop talking about my kids to a complete stranger, and happen to mention a situation they got in, but that it was the grace of God that pulled them through it.

I encourage you to read Malachi 1:6-8, 2:4-8, 17; 3:13-15. We see from these verses that the prophet Malachi was rebuking the spiritual leaders of Israel for several reasons, one of them being that they were teaching God’s people that God doesn’t see or judge (vs. 2:17). This is utterly untrue, and the church needs to make this clear. “Where is the God of judgment?” This has been said many times before.

Perhaps. What if we’re really deceived into thinking we’re walking the life of a servant for Christ, but actually fail several tests every day (within our hearts)? Have any of us become cold, calloused Christians? Jesus taught mercy and compassion. Are we living our days as though it could be our last?

We’re all ‘fruit cakes’! Ha ha ha, because we all bear fruit, whether we want to or not! We may not want to be a fruit tree, but as far as I can tell from the following Scriptures, we all do bear fruit. Luke 6:43-45 Jesus said “43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

I know some of you are thinking ‘what’?! I thought this was supposed to be about God’s Word. Jesus said “26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” Matthew 6:26 By creating a place in our yard for the birds to come bathe and eat, it gives us a chance for remembrance of how great God is. We’re reminded of the Scripture above that teaches us God provides for ...
