Paul wrote to Timothy that he might know how to “conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth” (I Timothy 3:15). This is a spiritual house which is the body of Christ, the church. As is the case with all houses, this house has an architect.

I encourage you to read Isaiah 59:9-16. Verse 16 says, “And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.” God has always sought for an intercessor. An intercessor stands in the gap; he makes up the breach; he is a mediator; an advocate; a defense attorney.

God created perfect foods for us to eat and most people are not eating enough of them. New discoveries are being made about the healing benefits of fruits, vegetables and grains, yet many people will never know, because they just don’t read that stuff. They’ll Google information on their hobbies, but not good health & nutrition. It’s not the devil that causes sickness and disease!

Sir Isaac Newton formulated the laws of gravitation and motion, and his achievements in science are very well known, but it is not so well known that he spent more time studying the Bible than studying the stars. He said, “There are more sure marks of authenticity in the Bible than in any profane history.

Read Romans 8:28-39. Verse 39 says, “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Thus far we have covered: 1.God’s love is the greatest thing in the world. It is towards us and in us (Rom 5:5).

Isaiah 58:1-14 – 1“Shout with the voice of a trumpet blast.
 Shout aloud! Don’t be timid.
Tell my people Israel of their sins! 2 Yet they act so pious!
They come to the Temple every day
and seem delighted to learn all about me.
They act like a righteous nation
that would never abandon the laws of its God.
They ask me to take action on their behalf,
pretending they want to be near me. 3 ‘We have fasted before you!’ they say.
 ‘Why aren’t you impressed?

Philippians, Chapter 2:1-11 “1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

A man was driving home from work when his cell phone rang. His wife was on the line in a panic and said, “Honey, be careful driving. I just saw on television that some maniac is driving the wrong way on the interstate?” The man replies, “One? There’s hundreds of them!” Jesus said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it.

John 13:34-35 says, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” This week, we will continue to talk about the importance of brotherly love.

Proverbs 21:2-4 - “2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. 3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. 4 An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.” I think we don’t realize how prideful we are.

Psalm 101 “1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing. 2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. 5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and ...

I encourage you to read Romans 5:1-8. Verse 8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” The word commendeth means shows, proves, or exhibits. God proved His love, showed His love, exhibited His love; by Jesus dying for us when we were unlovely, unworthy, ungodly sinners.

Read John 8:3-11. In Verse 11 Jesus says, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” We all want mercy, compassion , kindness, & forgiveness; but so often we fail to give the measure we want in return. But we see that Jesus gave it, He still gives it today.
