Margaret “Margy” Smith Sheppard passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 after complications from a stroke. Margaret was a wonderful mother, fantastic wife of 56 years and beautiful person. Before starting a family she worked as a legal secretary in her home town of Corpus Christi, TX. She and husband, Luke, raised two sons Luke III and Walter.

Dallas Ray Lawrence 68 a resident of Spring Branch, Texas, passed away March 7, 2014 in Spring Branch, Texas. He was born March 16, 1945 in Leach, Oklahoma, the son of Robert Earl and Ruth Plumlee Lawrence. Dallas served in the United States Marine Corps. Mary "Jane" Hewlett, 81 went to be with Jesus, family, and friends Monday, March 10, 2014. Jane was born in Holden, MO September 19, 1932 to Walter and Mary Surber of Holden, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Hewlett; daughter, Fonda Hewlett; two sons, Tom and Mitch Hewlett; and two brothers, Jerry and Jim Surber. Jerry Lee Crossley, 64 of Haskell, Texas and formerly of Blanco, Texas, passed away on Tuesday February 25, 2014. Graveside services were held in the Blanco Cemetery on March 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM under the direction of Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, Texas. Sister Isadore M. Jackson Upshaw Yett was the third child born to Willie and Manuel Jackson in Blanco, Texas on April 9, 1915. She received her childhood education at Peyton Colony School and then furthered her education at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She lived in Peyton Colony all her life. Sister Yett dedicated her life to Christ as a young girl.

Ann Margaret (Abbott) Wynkoop, 93 of Spring Branch, Tx, passed away on Wednesday February 12th, in a Blanco nursing home. Memorial services will be planned at a later time. Ann was born on June 25, 1920, in New Hartford, Missouri, to Vinton Clark and Johannah Louise (Franson) Abbott. She worked as a secretary for many years in several different production companies.

Surrounded by her family, Lucia "Lucy" R. Uselton died in Houston at her son’s home on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Whitey Uselton and son Fred Vasquez.She is survived by sons Abraham Vasquez and his wife Susie, Miguel Vasquez, and David Vasquez, and her beloved nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. After a 33-year career with Serafy Laboratories in Brownsville, Texas, she married Whitey Uselton in 2000 and retired to the Texas Hill Country.

Robert Lynn (Bobby) Parkinson, 72, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his home in Boquete, Panama. Bobby was born on December 4, 1941, at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas, to Ben and Marguerite Parkinson. After graduating from Lamar High School in 1960 and attending The University of Texas, Bobby returned to Houston where he worked with his father at Parkinson Equipment Company.
