Nora Maxine (Waxler) Hines passed away November 18, 2010, in Llano, Texas. Nora was born July 19, 1934, to Albert L. Waxler and Hermina L. Beckmann on her grandmother’s ranch in Blanco, Texas. She married Charles E. Dixon on September 4, 1953, in California. They then moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she raised her family.

Susan Maria Coleman, 61, of Drippings Springs, passed away Sunday, November 14. She was born March 18, 1949 in Westfield, MA, to Luella Reitz Marsh and the late Douglas F. Marsh. Sue worked many years at the Blanco Bowling Club and more recently at Dripping Springs High School. She was predeceased by her father and her daughter Angela Maria.

Ellen Frances White, 79, of Blanco passed away November 11, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Ellen and her identical twin, Eileen Phyllis Scott, were born on December 29, 1930 in San Antonio. Ellen was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Trinity University in San Antonio. Ellen was a member of All Faiths Church and Hill Country Cattlewomen.

George Davis Stevenson, 93, passed away November 8, 2010 in Round Rock, TX. He was born in Blanco County to Charles and Viola Stevenson. George was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Weldon, John, and Charles Stevenson. He is survived by his two sons, David Stevenson of Hutto and Sam Stevenson and wife Jackie of San Gabriel.

Douglass D. Hearne, a respected trial lawyer and devoted husband, father, grandfather and son, passed away peaceably on Saturday, October 9, 2010, in the loving arms of his family while watching his beloved Aggies (thankfully, he passed while the outcome of the game was still in doubt). Though born in San Antonio on November 17, 1930, he considered himself a proud Blanco County native, having been raised on the family ranch east of Blanco before graduating from Blanco High at the age of 16.

Foy Emmett West, born December 23, 1922, passed away October 11, 2010 after a short hospital stay in Austin. Foy was born and spent his life in Blanco, Texas. He was a veteran of WW II where he served in the Army Air Corp as a bombardier on a B-17 in Europe.

Lawrence (Larry) Harold Gerhard, Sr., 86, passed away October 9, 2010, in San Antonio, TX. He was born in Fredericksburg, TX, to Ernst Gerhard and Alma Weirshausen Gerhard. Lester Yett, age 58, of Blanco, Texas, formerly of Marble Falls, Texas, died September 28, 2010. He was born July 30, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. Lester was a faithful volunteer at the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church in Blanco, Texas. He was also an active Juneteenth Community Member in Marble Falls.
