Surrounded by her family, Lucia "Lucy" R. Uselton died in Houston at her son’s home on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Whitey Uselton and son Fred Vasquez.She is survived by sons Abraham Vasquez and his wife Susie, Miguel Vasquez, and David Vasquez, and her beloved nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. After a 33-year career with Serafy Laboratories in Brownsville, Texas, she married Whitey Uselton in 2000 and retired to the Texas Hill Country.

Robert Lynn (Bobby) Parkinson, 72, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his home in Boquete, Panama. Bobby was born on December 4, 1941, at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas, to Ben and Marguerite Parkinson. After graduating from Lamar High School in 1960 and attending The University of Texas, Bobby returned to Houston where he worked with his father at Parkinson Equipment Company.

Mayzelle Thompson Ross passed away on February 2, 2014 at the Live Oak Medical Center in Blanco, Texas. She was born at home on the family ranch above Utopia, Texas in Bandera County to Johnnie and Gaynelle (Norman) Thompson. Mayzelle was the oldest of five girls and they all worked on the ranch with their parents.

Charles Rodney Jones, born August 5, 1940 in New Braunfels, TX, passed away January 6, 2014 in Blanco. He spent his early years near Fischer & Smithson Valley.
