Mary Jo Paske Liesmann, 65, of Austin, Texas, died at home on Friday, November 1, 2013. She was born October 25, 1948 in Albuquerque, NM, to Bill and Josephine Paske. A native of Waco, Mary Jo graduated from Reicher High School in 1967. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Art History in 1983 from the University of Texas at Austin, while juggling small children at home and a full time job.

Gladys Norene Barr Reeves passed from this world on October 11, 2013 of congestive heart failure at the age of 93. She was born on December 27, 1919 in London, Texas and died in Blanco, Texas which was her home for most of her life. She eloped with her childhood sweetheart Homer Dorsey Reeves.

Kenneth Lee Crow, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2013. He was born July 19, 1943 in De Leon, TX as the second son to Ira Crow and Pauline Blair Crow. Kenneth lived in DeLeon and, later, Waller, TX where he graduated high school. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Houston.

Mary Louise Thompson, born March 3, 1928, in Ohio County, Kentucky, and was blessed to live the last year of her life at Live Oak Medical Center Blanco, Texas. Her family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who shared their lives with her. She went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Sunday morning, October 6th, 2013. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Clifford Fay and Mary Maybelle Coleman.

Billy Joe “BJ” Hinson, 75, went to be with the Lord on Monday September 23, 2013 at Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home in New Braunfels. He was a second generation pharmacist who followed in his father’s footsteps. He was a pharmacist for 51 years. He worked alongside his father at the family owned pharmacy, Stockton Pharmacy, in Fort Stockton. He was a pharmacist for Walmart for 13 years in Fort Stockton and Brownwood.

Jamie Garcia, 49, born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, resident of Blanco, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Garcia was a loving son, brother, and uncle. Nicholas Burison, a hardworking man of integrity, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25th at his home with his family at his bedside. Nick died of natural causes at the age of 83. He was born in Uniontown, PA, the youngest of 15. He graduated high school in Uniontown and served our country in the army both active duty and reserve.

Graciela Sierra 1959-2013 Our favorite little “clothes horse” left this world to be a “model” angel on September 17th. We are sure she will find “celestial” finery to her liking. After a 12 month struggle, Ganell, beloved wife of Charley Pemberton, died at Harbour Hospice in Beaumont, TX. Besides Charley, she is survived by 2 daughters, 2 step-children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and her adopted family, the Avilas of Blanco. Ganell and Charley purchased 11 acres in Blanco in 1997 and developed the land into a property they named Lavender Hill at 1378 River Run.

Jacqueline grew up in St. Louis. She lead a very active life and enjoyed travels to Mexico and to her land of ancestry in Denmark.
